March 26: Numbers are trending up in Saskatchewan. It's important for all of us to continue to practice social separation. If you are in isolation and need help with getting needed supplies, please contact us.
March 23: While we are all separated physically, we can still unite in heart and spirit. During the pandemic we have scheduled prayer meetings by videoconference on Mondays and Wednesdays. We hope you will be able to join us! Please visit our Programs page for details and links.
March 23: Thank you to everyone who streamed our service today. Please contact Pastor Norm if you were unable to watch or if there were any issues with sound or video quality. email@example.com
March 20: We note that new restrictions on gathering size now mean that church in person is not possible for the time being. Caring for each other however, is as crucial as ever. We encourage you to reach out to someone you haven't seen this week to encourage one another.
March 19: After consultation and prayer, Way of Life leadership has decided that it is in the best interests of our church and our community to suspend Sunday church services for the time being. We will have a 10:30 Sunday service on our YouTube channel.
March 18: Way of Life leaders are actively monitoring developments around the COVID-19 pandemic. This page will be regularly updated with the latest information. Yesterday it was announced that schools in Saskatchewan will close as of Friday. In order to be part of the effort to protect the kids and their families, we will be postponing all Junior Youth in-church activities while the schools are closed.
PLEASE NOTE: As Christians we are told to love our neighbour as ourselves. It is true that something like 85-90% of those who get infected with COVID-19 will recover on their own, but we have a Christian duty to the approximately 10-15% who likely will get sick enough to need medical treatment. We can help them through prayer and we can help them by following best practices to slow the spread of the infection so our health care workers are not overwhelmed with patients.
Social distancing should be practiced - avoid hugs, kisses, handshakes and sharing of food and drink;
If you have symptoms or known exposure to a sick person, please self-isolate as recommented by SaskHealth. Click here for details.
People isolated and in need of pickup of food or personal items can contact the church for assistance. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call 306-779-1084.
